Morning at Santana Row

My friend wanted to go the Crate and Barrel to shop.  The closest one to where where we live is at Santana Row in San Jose.  We got there early in the morning when there weren't many people there.  Santana Row is an upscale shopping plaza where all the brand name stores such as Gucci, and Burberry are located. It's not a big plaza but I do enjoy the outdoor walk here once in a while when the weather is sunny and breezy.

There are also many nice restaurants here:

After we left Crate and Barrel, we went to this Sur La Table which sells a lot of housewares and kitchen gadgets.
I finally found what I was looking for at Sur La Table.  It's called a "mobile tea press", where you can put your favorite loose leaves and enjoy the tea anytime while traveling.

I also got to enjoy a cup of gourmet coffee made fresh from this expensive coffee maker.  The sales lady from the store was nice enough to do a demo for me.   It costs $1,700 and it does everything automatic to create every kind of coffee from espresso to cappuccino.   The thermos-looking pot is actually a small refrigerator to keep the cream or milk cold.  It automatic sends the milk to the coffee when you have finished giving the instructions to the machine on what to make. I was in awe of this amazing machine.

We passed by my favorite place, Cocola, where you can enjoy some nice pastries and coffee here.
This place is worth mentioning.  It's a store that sells only paper products, like card stocks or wrapping papers.
What is unique about it is it has rolls of beautiful papers just like a fabric store:

I like this tree where they displayed leaves and flowers that were made from paper:

We were rushed to get back home to pick up the kids from school so we decided not to have lunch there.  It was a nice and wonderful area to spend some leisure time. If you are in the neighborhood, here's the address:
